How to get to the Paraíso del Cocodrilo

The Paraíso del Cocodrilo Hotel is located 50 mts away from the Flying Crocodile Hotel at the end of the road.

By car:

From San José via Nicoya and further on to Sámara (map here). After the Buenavista gas station (detailed map here), on the map in the upper right corner, and during the rainy season turn to the right on to the unpaved road. During the dry season head towards Sámara after the gas station. There turn right and go another 6 km to the Buenavista Beach. The Nicoya Peninsula is well known for its bad roads. Just some are paved. During the rainy season there are many holes in the roads. Four by four cars are recommended for this region.

By bus:

Busses go daily from San José to Sámara and leave from the Alfaro bus station (city map here), which is located 150 mts northwest from the Coca Cola bus station #9 (Avenida 5, Calle 14 and 16). The journey takes about 5 hours. It is recommended to purchase the bus tickets one day prior to departure. Once you arrive in Sámara we will pick you up.

By plane:

The airline Sansa flys daily between San José (Juan Santa María international airport) and Sámara/Carillo. You will be pickud up upon arrival.
